Metal goodies & other stuff

Journal Entry: Fri Nov 16, 2007, 11:26 AM
I just got my new Napalm Records winter catalogue.  Packed full of metal goodies :D  This record label consistently produces some of the most classy bands in the business.  You can always count on production being of the highest quality.
I've been totally absorbed in metal lately.  It's all I listen to when I'm at the computer.  It also helps to drown out outside noises.  I hate neighbourhood noise.  My neighbours stink (some of you will know what i mean by that. lol)  Metal gets me through the day.

On other stuff... not much.  Amazing how nothing can happen in your life.

I should get back to doing some of my traditional paintings for my FairyLord account.  I've been pretty unproductive there.

You guys are my kind of people. I don't always listen to Metal though. I listen to hard rock that I can scream and sing at the top of my lungs- sometimes they have the screaming in it- like Deathcar by - Fightstar. I really wish I could learn how to scream like that.. ;-; It would be ..so much fun to scare people like the lead singer from Flyleaf. She is so tiny, like me- but what an awesome scary voice comes out when she screams.

Someone teach me? XD

:D Nice to meet another who likes the screamers, lol! Though i've not heard of the bands you mention. The only time i scream is when i'm in temper :giggle: I probably can't sing for nuts!

I'd show you how I sing but ..it's hiding in my friends journal,if you look at my page and check out the friends part- hover over one of the Saix icons near the right of the list on top- and find the one that says SharpAnimationInc - and like.. click her birthday journal, theres a link to a song I sung for her- my mom- and someone I'm really wanting to date right now.

Someone asked me 'How can you listen to Metal? Doesn't it stress you out to hear someone screaming?' I was like 'No, it makes me feel like someone else out there is as mad as I am and it makes me." It's actually happy sweet music that gets on my nerves. I can't STAND James Taylor. He makes me want to stab myself in the ear with a pencil. ARRRGG!

Oh, you said it perfectly!! :D Yep, that is just the same with me. I find metal relaxing, also inspiring. It's that mellow stuff that either makes me feel dreary, or makes me wanna have a conniption fit!

Mellow stuff makes me nuts. There's a song by James Taylor that goes 'Shower the people you love with love...' and repeats over and over and over and over. GAWDZ! AHHHH! And he sings in a sweet pleasant voice. GIVE ME BLOOD! GIVE ME SCREAMS! GIVE ME THAT WHICH I DESIRE! -bangs head-

I abhor James Taylor and I asked my mother, a fan of his, why his lyrics always repeated over and over and over. She responded 'His songs were made for hippies who were stoned out of their minds. They couldn't remember complex lyrics.'

O_O Profound!

^_^ That's awesome. Nothing clears the room of 'love not war' people like the heavy sounds of screams asking for death and pain. YEAHHH!
